"At age 50, I tore my Achilles tendon playing basketball and retired from competitive sports. At 64, I had my right hip replaced due to wear & tear which caused chronic joint pain. I gained weight - the heaviest I’ve ever been. I felt sluggish and had aches in my shoulders, hips, and feet. When I tried Functional Patterns with Andy, I was surprised that the exercises didn’t involve heavy lifting. More importantly, the exercises didn’t cause pain to my surgically repaired joints. In the past, I would eat until I was stuffed. Now, I don’t limit myself, and I’m surprised how sustainable it is. I haven’t felt this good since I was 30. I’m so pleased I can throw a baseball with my grandson using my surgically repaired left shoulder. FP has made my life pain-free!"
"I was born with pectus excavatum. I had major pain in my left hip/groin area that stemmed from running and made me unable to run more than 2 miles at once. I had recurring low back pain on both sides that would be aggravated by many of the workouts I was doing before FP. After training FP, I am in the best shape of my life. My rib flare and chest indentation have drastically reduced with all of the deliberate chambers that Andy has taught me. FP has gotten me to a point where I no longer experience any hip pain when I run. None of the FP exercises aggravate my back, and in fact, have helped build enough muscle to prevent back pain in my daily life. I also completely changed my diet - no processed foods and I eat red meat, dairy, eggs, & fruit. My stomach feels much better - I can tolerate dairy, have regular bowel movements and increased energy levels."
"Before starting FP, pain and tightness in hips and groin were at least a 7. Low back was always a 4 or 5. I felt like a wishbone. Standing comfortably felt like effort and after a short duration, my body felt a strong urge to sit. After FP corrective exercises and significantly reducing grains, pain and tightness levels in hips and groin are now 1 or 2 at most. Back is now 0 - no more back. pain Standing, walking, and running feel drastically easier and for much longer durations of time."
